چکیده
substance abuse treatment network in iran, with nearly three thousand outpatient treatment centers, one thousand residential treatment centers, some general and specialized in-patient centers and more than ten thousand care givers; like medical doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses and social workers construct one of the main components of iran health organization, although may “not count” as it should! this network designed and activated by academic and governmental organizations, is facing numerous challenges which make serious crisis to it’s sustain. persian journal of addiction medicine is hoping to play an effective role in suggesting solutions for such challenges during few coming years. in this editorial we will review 10 main challenges that this network faces and their potential solutions.
